World Challenge expeditions are designed to develop important life skills, helping students to:

The end of this academy year will see a group of 17 of our senior pupils embark on an exciting 3 week trip to China. This will be the 4th expedition that Peterhead Academy have been involved in having been to Ghana, Tanzania, Costa Rica and Nicaragua previously.
Pupils have to fundraise all of their money to pay for their trip, some of which will be used for their community project. They will be working at a school in China to help them build new school facilities, update and paint existing facilities and spend time with the people from the community. As well as this, they will be taking on a mountain for a large trek to challenge them. Throughout the trip they will have the opportunity to manage their budget, organise their in-country transport and food, cook on open fires and stoves, and learn some of the language and culture of China.
