Health and Safety
Advise services to ensure that they have the information required to manage H&S
Conduct Fire Risk Assessments for all Council properties, Conduct Noise, HAVs (Hand Arm Vibration); Assessments as appropriate and carry out Air Monitoring.
Conduct Auditing and Safety Sampling.
H&S Advisers are allocated to an area; Banff & Buchan, Buchan, Formartine, Garioch, Kincardine & Mearns and Marr.
All Accidents and Incidents are screened and where appropriate the team are allocated Accident Investigations.
Specialist training courses, developed and delivered as follows Asbestos Awareness; LPG Safety Awareness; Vibration Awareness. Behavioural Risk Assessment, Risk Assessment, Fire Warden (Woodhill House Buchan House and Gordon House).
The team attend a number of H&S committees and JCC’s to provide support and advice as necessary.
Workplace Assessor visit external companies and internal services who have agreed to participate in the workplace programme.

A duty system where at least one H&S Adviser is available in the office daily to provide advice if the rest of the team are out on-site
